So...after playing around with it and testing certain things that the Xbox One has to offer, I am impressed! Voice commands to the kinect is great! Although it does need some improvements on hearing certain commands or switching over to another app or game. The controller feels comfortable and the buttons feel like they're closer together to make your fingers actually hit the buttons than having to stretch your thumb a little to press on them.
The D-pad is very clicky and moves about in a 360 degree motion without that that stop motion when you press up, down, left or right! Now for the console itself, yes I have to agree it looks like a VCR we had back in the day, but it's not that big when you actually see it in person than on tv. It's very quiet, the Xbox symbol glows when turned on or when you command the Xbox to wake up when saying "Xbox On" not only will it turn it on, but there's a setting that you can have the Xbox turn your TV, raise and lower the volume and mute it on as well! Makes it easier for you to just sit back relax and wait for kinect to sign you in once it see you. Now for the TV service that Xbox does, it's a very simple set up. It'll ask you what provider you have, test it out to see if it works then once it done with it you're all set! Plus using the voice commands to go to a certain channel or tv show is snap it'll look for it and if not just say the channels name.
The upload app when you tell the Xbox to record that! It'll record the last 30 secs on your progress to show off to your friends when they sign in and you can edit the last 5 mins of game play too when you download the Upload Studio app. One more note, if you unlock an achievement, it'll show on your friends list saying so and so unlocked this on this game for 20G! So overall, I love it! It's fun and interactive! I know it's pricey, but like the saying goes; you pay for what you get! I just hope some of my friends come back to the Xbox so we can enjoy it together! Until then...later!
